Grant writing:

Hourly - A typical federal grant application—including partner/ meeting facilitation, research and writing—requires 100-120 hours to prepare and submit. Most corporate and private foundation proposals take between 30-65 hours to develop. Letters of inquiry may take from 4-12 hours depending on the complexity.

Flat Fee - The Goddess of Grants offers a number of flat fee packages. Flat fee contracts are paid in advance and offer nonprofit organizations a distinct advantage at a significant discount. Our most popular package includes a comprehensive search of funding sources for a single project concept, and develop five (5) full proposals  for a one-time, upfront fee of $7,500 to $15,000 depending on the scope of work.  (This package does not include developing federal grants applications.)

We also provide writing services for all of your nonprofit needs, including but not limited to case statements, messaging, web content, and  blogs. Please contact us to discuss your needs.

Strategic Planning:

Explores mission, vision, value, strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, threats, and establishes key objectives and focus areas, action plans, and key performance indicators. Also used to realign program and funding priorities. Fee based on need, from retreats to restructuring. Depending on your organization's needs and readiness the cost is $2,500 - $10,000.

Please feel free to contact us to discuss your needs. The Goddess of Grants has been known to swing a great deal for the right project.

Capital Campaign:

(Typically 7-15% of goal) From our experience with dozens of capital campaigns, we must stress that the percentage number is merely a reference—what it turns out to be. The percentage reference is more of the ends, not the means. A campaign is not conducted by employing a professional consultant whose fee is based on a percentage of the goal or actual funds raised. The consultant’s fee should be based only on the time expended. The amount of time or type of collateral required, can result in significantly different costs from one organization to another. Let’s talk about scope before we talk about price.

Do not be wooed by low hourly fees...

I once contracted with an experienced grant writer for $25/hour to write a grant while I simultaneously worked to develop the same proposal and project budget for my client.

I received an invoice for twice the amount I charged my client.

The Goddess of Grants does not work on a contingency or percentage basis.
